16. Lens calculator

Calculate screen

Start by selecting a projector and the a lens. Enter the distance between the projector and the screen.

The minimum and maximum screen width is given in red at the bottom line of the calculation panel.

How to calculate a lens

1. Click on the drop down box below Choose projector and select the desired projector. (image 16-2)

The aspect ratio is automatically ﬁlled out.

2. Click in the input ﬁeld of screen width and enter the correct value

Or,

click on the slider and hold down the mouse button and drag the slider until the correct screen width is

reached.

3. Click in the input ﬁeld of projector distance and enter the correct distance

Or,

click on the slider and hold down the mouse button and drag the slider until the correct distance is

reached.

4. Click on Calculate.

An overview is given of the lenses for that type of projector. The highlighted line ind

icates the best lens

for the given circumstances.
